The NK2 recovery feature has been built into our newest Ingressor product line verion 4.0.  To use this feature, download one of our Ingressor GUI (Desktop, HelpDesk and HelpDesk Exchange) products, and install it.  If using the Desktop program, make certain that the file to be examined is on the same computer as the Desktop program.  When Ingressor opens an NK2 file, it will analyze the file for errors.  If it doesn't detect any errors, it will load your file into the demo program where you may view the contents.  If Ingressor detects errors in your NK2 file, it will prompt you to repair the file.  After opting for the repair option, Ingressor will attempt to repair your file.*  Upon completion of the repair, the file's contents will be displayed so that you may determine if you want to keep the repaired file or not.  You can even play with Ingressor's editing capabilities.  However, any changes, uncluding those made by the repair utility will NOT BE saved in the demo version. If you decide that you like the program, purchase it before making an extensive repairs or edits.

Note:  Many people attempt to open their own NK2 file using a text editor or some other program.  A word of caution, do not save your NK2 file after opening your NK2 file with any other program.  Doing so will probably corrupt the file beyond the point that our recovery program can fix it. In fact, we strongly recommend that if you do want to open these files, please make a backup of the file before opening it with any program.
