| The following paragraphs explain how our various products are licensed and why. Before creating the first program we reviewed the needs of the marketplace. Most desktop (non IT professional) users don’t know how to change folder settings to enable their systems to be able to view or search hidden system files like the NK2. Therefore we engineered our Desktop program to read the system registry and find the user’s NK2 file for them. A second concern was with security. Most professionals with whom we exchanged ideas were concerned that one employee might gain access to another employee’s private information and thus we removed the browse feature in the Desktop program. For those employees requiring more extensive needs it was suggested that we build two HelpDesk programs and create a licensing scheme that would enable professional IT personnel to browse and edit NK2 files across their networks. It was further requested that we create a HelpDesk version that would NOT allow personnel to edit Exchange information. Consequently, we created the HelpDesk and HelpDesk Exchange programs with the latter providing the capability to edit Exchange records for those desiring such a capability. Because one HelpDesk person generally supports many desktop users, we created a licensing system that would enable a company to purchase one copy of HelpDesk software, but allow access to multiple NK2 files throughout the network. Thus our HelpDesk products ship with 5 NK2 file licenses, and have the capability to add more NK2 licenses as needs arise. There is no need to purchase more HelpDesk programs, just NK2 file licensing. As a purchaser of our DESKTOP program, you received our product designed for the Desktop end user. If your requirements exceed the capabilities of our Desktop program, we would suggest that you review one of our HelpDesk programs. Most corporations invest many thousands into the acquistion of software that make their businesses run for efficiently. We believe that Desktop program is priced and licensed for the end user, while the HelpDesk programs were developed, priced and licensed for the corporate environment. And, while there is no reason that corporate personnel cannot purchase our Desktop product, we believe that it is unreasonable for businesses to purchase a single Desktop program with the expectation of repairing and editing NK2 files across their entire corporate infrastructure. Corporations can and should be able to appreciate the time and expense necessary in developing and supporting specialized software. For assistance in determining if our software is a good value for your business, you can download and quickly calculate an ROI for Ingressor. We sincerely hope that this explanation sheds some light on our licensing. |
