NK2 ANALYZER - Free network utility that will analzye all NK2 files on your network and generate a report!

Recently, after reviewing our website, I was asked if our Commander program could analyze all NK2 files in a law firm's network to determine if they were corrupt or fully functional.  I explained that because operator intervention may be necessary during the reparation process, we couldn't build that function into the Commander program.  She then explained that it was not important to repair them automatically, but that she be made aware of any files that were corrupted so that they could have their helpdesk personnel fix them.  I was then told that the repair function wasn't as important as the ability to determine if any files were corrupted.  The concern was that e-mail communications may be impacted due to corrupted NK2 files and the need was to repair them proactively.

I explained that I would review these concerns with our engineering group and advise if anything could be done.  Our chief engineer, Hoang, thought about this request pensively then said, "what a great idea"!  I agreed!

We are here to announce the release of our first NK2 file analyzer.  And the best news is that it is absolutely FREE!

What the analyzer will and will NOT do.  It will open every NK2 file on your network and run our analyzer utility and record the results to a log file for later action.  It will NOT repair any broken or corrupted files.

If you want this free utility, please email support (at) ingressor (dot) com and put "analyzer request" in the subject line.  We will send the program and a batch file that can be used to run it.  The statements in the batch file can also be placed inside of a login script.

Please keep in mind that virus protection software doesn't like to see executable files running across a network.  When you review the batch file that we've included, you will note that it copies the analyzer program down to each local machine and then executes the program from the local machine.  It will only copy the file one time.  The program also doesn't care too much about file naming conventions either.  As long as your NK2 file name conforms to conventional naming, it should work just fine.  To obtain the program and batch file just drop us a short note requesting it.
